Your Participation in our Fundraising Efforts are Needed
Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District needed to raise 55% of our projected operating needs for 2011. These funds could come from grants, fundraising sales or charitable contributions from individuals, local businesses or organizations. Though we are not a government agency, we enjoy an in-kind relationship with the USDA/NRCS in that we receive building space in return for limited service to them. Donations are welcomed. AVSWCD is a not-for-profit quasi-state agency classified as a Section 501(C)1 organization and as such, any donations or gifts to the Conservation District qualify as charitable contributions under IRS Code 170(C)1 and may be tax deductible as such on the donor’s income tax return Please consult with your tax advisor regarding specific circumstances surrounding your own tax situation. Your participation in our fundraising efforts make it possible for the Conservation District to continue to provide educational programming and technical assistance to the public in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc County at a reasonable/lower cost.
